Magic Iris Birthday Card

This card features the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris die set and some balloons cut using Cricut Design Space. I have been waiting a long time to get the Magic Iris die set and could not wait to make a card.  I wanted to make a quick card and wasn't in the mood for stamping and coloring.  I designed the card in Design Space so I could determine the correct size and placement of each balloon and balloon strings.  I sliced a circle out of the larger balloon to create a balloon frame around the Magic Iris.  The balloon frame was cut out of the same red paper I used for the red sausage-shaped pieces of the die set.  I also cut several balloons from red, green, and yellow cardstock and cut the balloon strings from black cardstock. I assembled the Magic Iris using white cardstock, with the exception of the 3 sausage pieces which were cut from red cardstock.  The Magic Iris was glued to a red A2 sized card panel.  I die cut the Magic Iris Add-On panel from polka dot patterned paper.  I also cut 2 m

Crazy Turkey

I don't often get the chance to visit my son's school, but once a year I have the privilege of spending 20 minutes with him at his school's annual Thanksgiving feast.  Most of the photos I took that day showcased him being goofy so I wanted the layout to be just as silly. I chose papers from the Me and My Big Ideas Life is Rosy paper pad and paired it with some shiny silver mirror cardstock to bring out the foil accents in the patterned paper.  The title was a combination of two different titles that I found in Cricut Design Space. The turkey and the turkey leg were also cut using my Cricut. I popped these up off the page using foam tape. The perfect final touch was a sticker from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Snarky sticker book. Keep Calm and Carry Wands

One of our favorite places to visit while in Myrtle Beach was Magicquest.  My family was very sad when it closed down.  I had put off scrapbooking these photos for a very long time because we had such great memories of this place and I could never find the right elements to pull this layout together.  The pandemic has allowed me a lot of time to scrapbook so I was determined to complete this layout before I had to head back to work. I recently purchased the Shimelle Sparkle City Paper and Project pad and really loved how the colors in this collection coordinated with the Magiquest sign in the photo.  I used a simple layering of papers so that the photos would be the main focal point. I knew that I did not have any magic embellishments so I went to Cricut Design Space and found a magic wand and some wonky stars which were cut from glitter cardstock.  I also found inspiration for the title and cut part of the letters from the Cricut and used Thickers for the rest of the title.  I placed
